What is Risk Owner?
The risk owner is the single named person accountable for monitoring a specific risk and executing its response if triggered. Not a committee, not "the team" — one name in the register next to each risk.
Exam trap to avoid: the project manager does not personally own every risk. Assigning owners is the PM's job; owning each risk is not. "The PM handles it" is usually the wrong answer when a better-placed owner exists.
